Matthew 4:8-9

During Sunday School, I was taught that Jesus could understand what it was like for us to be tempted by sin because he was once tempted by the devil. The idea of Jesus being tempted never made much sense to me because we also were taught that he is the all-knowing, all-powerful, perfect god. What exactly could the devil offer him that would be so appealing it would make Jesus even consider sinning?

What are your thoughts about the temptation of Jesus? Please respond by leaving a comment on this page or via the Skeptic Mom Facebook page or Skeptic Mom on Twitter.

I am looking forward to a great conversation!

Matthew 4:8-9

Matthew 4: 8 Again, the devil took him to a very high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their splendor; 9 and he said to him, “All these I will give you, if you will fall down and worship me.”
